Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tenebris Ignis Moonwing means "dark fire" in Latin. He is aptly named, for he is usually in a supremely dark mood. It comes from being abandoned as a hatchling. He saw his parents and sister, and then suddenly he was abandoned. Tenebris is a bitter dragon, often thinking dark thoughts while everyone around him is cheerfully going along their merry way.

The other dragons call him Umida Stragulum, or Wet Blanket in Latin, for making parties horrible because he dampens the mood. Tenebris pretends that he just doesn't care, even saying that if he has a daughter, he'd name her Umida Stragulum Filia, or Wet Blanket's Daughter.

Despite his constant depression, he has hobbies that make him happy(er)- he loves collecting enchanted items. He often sits in his cave admiring his collection.
