Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pilikia, like all of the tribe's silver dragons, lives on the island of Molehu. She received her name like all other silvers: as a hatchling, she was inspected by the elders and then summed up in a word in Hawaiian. For her, it was Pilikia, meaning "trouble". Of course, Pilikia would never cause trouble for anyone unless they really deserved it. Pilikia is very sneaky and seems almost ubiquitous, so she can remain unseen as she spies on criminals and gossips and doles out their punishments. Some dragons say that the vindictive silver is simply searching for a way to right the wrongs that were done to her in her past, others, especially the humans that live in nearby villages, consider her not as a dragon, but as a all-seeing spirit that works very similar to karma. Pilikia seems to stick to more personal criminals, like an two-faced friend or an unfaithful lover, and her punishments can range from making someone be exiled from their friends and family to having a very, very, bad day.
