Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

LA High Five claims to come from a mythical city known only as "LA". Less dubious is her love of high-fives—or more commonly, high-fours, because most dragons only have four toes, including LA High Five. She calls them 'high fives' anyways, which annoys most of the other dragons (the exceptions being silvers and other five-toed breeds). She especially loves giving high-fives in the skies, but probably only because it rhymes. At first, she was annoyed by the number of dragons who didn't want to high-five her (nor high-four her), but that all changed when a rumor came about that if every dragon high-fived her she would be magically teleported back to "LA", wherever that may be, and therefore too far away to annoy the locals. LA High Five is annoyed at the prospect of being banished to her old hometown because of the miasma that fills the place—apparently, the sky there is stained brown by it; though she doesn't think that even the most powerful magi can teleport her all the way back.
