Brute Dragons are among the larger dragon breeds. They prefer to live in solitude or small groups, nesting in high, mountainous regions. The only time they openly seek the company of others is during the mating season, when males will fight for the attention of females. The thunderous crash of Brute Dragons butting horns against each other in competition for mates can be heard nearly a mile away.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Raised among, well, brute dragons, Scorieth has long been taught that love is for "giant wussy babies." Thus when her first breeding season rolled around, she firmly resolved not to mate with her childhood friend, Scemriel (who, while adorable, was also weak), and tromped off to mate with a more powerful male. She'd not gotten very far, though, before he popped up again, babbling about an amazing thing she had to see on the other side of the mountains. It was a wonderful adventure, but also conveniently led well away from any other males and lasted until mating season was over--leaving Scorieth to resignedly accept Scemriel as her mate. She vowed not to repeat her mistake, yet next year he had another amazing thing to show her--and even though she realized the trick, she found herself playing along.

Thus at long last she came to terms with her feelings, accepting him as a permanent and much beloved mate (all while hoping their children aren't giant wussy babies like their father)!
