Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It loves watching the reflection of stars in the water.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Drop of Moonsilver loves to help out the healers and alchemists of the clan. He hopes to one day become an alchemist himself and prepares by collecting herbs, rare minerals, and drops of dew collected in the night of a full moon for them. His earnest eagerness has impressed quite a few of the elder dragons and the only reason he hasn't yet found a place as an apprentice is that they are still arguing over who will be the one to teach him.
