Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Before, Himeros was generally accepted to be the leader of the Spartan Flight, which lives in an ocean facing cave in the territory of the city-state.  He used to be capable of commanding respect and was a just leader. Then, one of his hatchlings died, an act which his mate Cyntherea continues to blame him for. He has fallen into a depression and prefers to keep the company of storm clouds instead of dragons. Named for Himeros, whose name means Longing and is associated with the Greek god Eros, he has lived up to his namesake. He longs for Cyntherea to trust him again. He longs to be the leader he once was. Most of all, he longs for some way to bring back their dead hatchling.
