Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Tweekie was the runt of his family. Even his mother abandoned him in a cave because she gave up on him. With 19 hours left in his life, Baconpeople managed to scoop him up into her safety and she loved him like one of his own. She worked hard with a few friends of hers to nurse him to health, and to teach him not to be scared of the outside world. A few dragon years later he grew up to be a magnificent mighty dragon who loves humans.
