Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. The illegitimate son of a most infamous Gold dragon, this male's peaceful nature is constantly at odds with the savage goals of his mother. After all her attempts to make him "useful" to her failed, she promptly ceased to care about his existence, even going so far as to suggest she would have him killed if he didn't depart from her sight. More than happy to leave, he now leaves a solitary life in the mountains, doing his best to forget about his parentage... the cruel mother he never desired, and the gentle father he could never find. But even as he tries to forget his past, his past is soon to come looking for him, a most curious Sunsong seeking his help in freeing the land from his mother's dark grip.
