Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Starsin is leader of the Natashina clan, the first dragon to be raised under the human. He is very formal upon first meeting, with a regal air. He is a stern yet fair leader, and seems to focus only on the truth. He is a fierce and noble warrior as well, never attacking an unarmed enemy. When he is in close company, his dry and acerbic wit can disarm visitors and dragons alike. His jokes are always filled with obscure ancient references that are often lost on the clan, even among the older dragons. Starsin takes it upon himself to train the hatchlings the art of illusion magic and nighttime combat. He relies on the assistance from the younger dragon Magus in his lessons. Starsin considers Nightsin and Valkore his personal pupils, who are learning his references and inheriting his humor.
