Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sssylver is shy and unassuming. She cared nothing for anything but her stars, until one Valentine's Day when Dove Sacrifice came into the cave.

Like his brother, Dove was handsome and majestic. And when he saw Sssylver he thought that surely this was a mate to rival his own beauty. But he was shy and could not work up the confidence to speak to her, going about his duties as a Heartseeker dragon quietly. Sssylver herself was in love as well, and the two shy dragons were only tormenting themselves.

At last Dove's brother, Bittersweet Fins, stepped in and led Sssylver to Dove's side. Sssylver and Dove sat in silence for a time, and then Sssylver burst out with her feelings. The two have been mates ever since, leading dragons together in the daytime and flying a moonlit dance together at night, wreathed with the sweet scent of Dove's Sacrifice.
