Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Daery shares a lot personality traits with Kok Remorse, seeing as the number one thing Daery wanted was a child. Derry Poaf, leader of Squad 2 and mate to Daery, refused to have an egg with her because he says it would damage her fighting skill. She is a member of Sqaud 3, which consists of Teryth Faers and Getraethy Saes and is led by Electo Kicam. She is a fairly good fighter, but it isn't her passion. She used to watch the hatchlings play any spare time she can, instead of training for battle. She finally got tired of having no children and ran away from the clan for a week. When she returned, she was carrying two vampire hatchlings and an egg. When asked where she got them, she didn't respond. Shortly after she returned Misfit Clan was attacked by the vampire clans, who wanted the kids back. Kok tried to make her give them back, but she ran and hid with the kids until they grew.
