Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zang resides in a forest near a human-made "sport course" (she doesn't remember what the actual term is, so that's what she calls it). While she was disappointed with the destruction the humans have caused to create some grassy land, she can't help but admire the work they put into building and maintaining the course, and over time, she's gotten used to the course's presence. Very rarely, she'll even come out of hiding, recite some speech about how she has blessed the humans or whatever, and join them in a round. Zang isn't sure if people buy her spiel or just listen patiently. Whatever the case, she's glad that she can borrow their gear and play with them. Several hours later when the game is finished, she provides compensation by growing and seamlessly replacing divots around the fairways.
