Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The tropical rainforests are filled with all types of things, including mana. Abyssal lives in a particularly gloomy and ghostly one filled with dark mana. As a result, he learned how to control dark mana, and became nocturnal. His body gained mana crystals, a shadowy aura, and a dark dull purply-pink color from the raw dark mana he has been exposed to. He can be fairly aggressive as well, often leaping into a battle at the slightest perceived insult. Due to these traits, most dragons say he has something of the night about him.
