Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Venth is a very old and wise dragon. He has both the knowledge and battle scars to prove it. When things go wrong in his clan, Venth is usually the first one on the scene. He has had his fair share of rescues and border skirmishes to all out war. Although Venth is one of the best fighters and battle tactics adviser in the clan he often chooses to teach the hatchlings about peace while resting on the sun rocks at night. Bathing in the moonlight at night is a rare moment of silence before the young hatchlings clamor over his spines demanding tales of battle and war.
