Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Donald is one of the many dragons rescued and raised by the clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in a forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Mint dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Deimos, to pass down to any offspring that remained with the flock.
Donald is, like any other Harvest dragon, a voracious eater. Luckily the villagers near his cave view him as a good luck charm, and view an offering of food to him to be an integral part of their Harvest Home festivals. Local superstition even says that if they do not offer him food, the next year will see frosts that kill the seeds, floods that wash the soil away, and unrelenting drought that will kill whatever is left.
Donald thinks this is silly, and that the bad weather that year was just pure coincidence. He's tried telling the humans this, but they just won't listen to him.
