Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Anjum has a long and complicated history that he's not too proud of and would rather not bring up, simply because of the fact that he is a frozen hatchling and he's found that people are not really fond of hearing about his heartache when they've experienced a great deal of it themselves. Anjum came to the clan one day, frozen already by another clan, and asked to stay here. He's remained ever since, but only because the clan members were able to persuade Sonre into allowing him to stay.

He has limited healing powers, only being able to heal small wounds or cuts. Anjum also tends to be a bit more mature than the other hatchlings in the clan, and certainly a good deal wiser. As a whole, he tends to have a bit more patience about him than Foster Child does, and is often quick to calm her down when she's on the verge of lashing out at one of the clan members. Unlike her, he holds no hard feelings towards the clan, and is often discouraged by Foster's fiery temper.
