Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Undine Dragons are named for the water spirits with which they share territory. They have close relationships with these spirits, and are able to communicate with them. In exchange for protection and respect of their mutual freshwater homes, laid eggs are often protected by a blessing. This blessing stays with the dragon into adulthood, and with it they gain potent magical abilities. Sometimes when an Undine Dragon becomes very upset, the ground at their feet may frost over or begin to steam. They have also been observed to manipulate water directly, rerouting raindrops or creating puddles from groundwater. Undine Dragons always live near forest pools, streams, or waterfalls. Both genders take equal part in the raising of young and are very good parents—though they may not remain mated after the offspring are grown.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Answergator has always been a bit of a know-it-all, but when he tried to convince the resident water spirit he knew more about hydrology than she did, things got really out-of-hand. The two got into an argument almost unheard-of between undines and water spirits and their pool erupted into waves so strong they knocked a passing aeria gloris out of the sky. The gloris's crystals dissolved in the mana-charged waters, causing the spot to erupt into a rising waterfall and leaving both Answergator and the water spirit dumbfounded. The two argued over how long this new structure would last, until their raging waters took in a white dragon whom they almost drowned. The water still fell up, so at that point the spirit called it quits. The white, Qufquil, became enamoured of Answergator, and because she really doesn't know anything about water, she believes he knows everything. The two have been managing the falls together since, along with a young, clueless water spirit that moved in recently.
