Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Muyou has never been entirely sure what she did wrong to deserve the cave tender's ire.  Immediately after she emerged from her shell into the twilight air, the cave tender tied a rope around her neck and led her to the front of the cave.  At first, she was confused but mostly content.  The weather was good and the climate temperate, so while she was sad that she was left completely alone, she was able to sleep the day through and romp around at the end of the rope at twilight.  However, odd things kept happening while she was asleep.  First came a sign which read "Looking for a sunrise."  Given that there were sunrises every day, Muyou couldn't understand why someone would be looking for one or why the sign was posted right next to her.  When she was just about to grow up, a new sign appeared reading "Will trade for anything."  As an adult she was admitted to the cave and the other dragons have been kind enough, but the tender still ignores her entirely.
