Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lady of the Golden Tower is so named because she guards an enchanted castle of solid gold. The castle was built hundreds of years ago as a show of a kingdoms wealth, but with the expansion of the dragon's territory now lies within their domain.

Lady does not only protect the castle it's self from plunderers and thieves, but also a princess who sleeps in the tallest tower. The princess was cursed by a vengeful sorcerer and her parents begged the dragons to protect her slumbering form until a cure could be found for her, the magic of the castle keeping her frozen in time as her kingdom and parents wither and rot away.
