Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very brightly colored and enjoys splashing in puddles.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The hatchling was given as a gift by a mysterious old boatman. The man said that he had an honest job, and that he lived by taking people on one side to another of the rivers.

Oneday finding this offspring among some rocks, he gently cared for him on his boat.

He said that his work was becoming dangerous and so he could not take his little faithful fellow traveler with him anymore.

Even today, this calm and cute hatchling still acts as if searching for him sometimes.
