Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Oddly enough, it has two heads that seem to enjoy playing with each other.

Its color appears to have changed, and it is now one solid color!

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Eightclaw is one of Phoenix's dragons. She was rescued from the Abandoned Pile, but despite her mistreatment she is a very playful little hatchling whose heads appear to be the same dragon—although they are most definitely not. They have the same voice, and had they been of another breed they probably would have been twins. Eightclaw also likes teasing people with her ventriloquist talents. The two heads keep up their scheme very well by imitating one another exactly, and even Phoenix thinks they are the same dragon, which is why they were given one name. Secretly, they know each other as Eight and Claw.
