Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Evan was the first, and for the time being, only dragon Toxic has turned. She, however, was not gifted a high ranking position and instead was made a warrior.

She is a stubborn dragon, and was not too happy when Toxic forced her to become a fighter, but she reluctantly accepted her appointment in hopes that she would later be promoted to something better. That didn't happen, and is likely to never happen.

Out of the two warriors that are in the cave currently, Evan is by far the better one. Rafe is much too gloomy and quiet to be a decent fighter. Evan often finds herself yelling, even attacking Rafe to get her to perk up, but the younger Vampire is just too stupid, in Evan's opinion, to do anything useful.

Since Evan is a Vampire she holds a certain amount of command over the normal dragons, to which she often abuses. She enjoys toying with them, biting them and pretending to suck their blood. But this "playing" gets Evan into trouble with Toxic, earning her scathing punishments.
