Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Midme is a huge romantic. She is convinced that every dragon has seventeen possible soulmates and he or she only has to find one of them to find perfect happiness. In a world as huge and populated as hers that's still a very small chance to actually find true love, but Midme is one of the lucky ones (or so she believes). Ever since she first met John Denver, she knew that they were destined for each other. Even her name was a sign by the gods that she was worthy to be with the founder of the MAA. She spent almost all her hatchlinghood and most of her adult life to make their relationship as perfect as possible, caring for each other, taking an interest in her partner, making compromises, giving each other space when needed, etc. And so far she seems to be right; her relationship is one of the happiest in the clan. So maybe there is something to that whole destiny-true-love thing after all.
