Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Darksword is a strong and capable warrior, but prefers to operate behind the scenes.  He's cool and standoffish to those he doesn't know, which of course means that he doesn't know many others.  Once he's made friends with another dragon, however, there is no better friend to have.  Darksword has been known to go to great lengths to aid his friends, no matter the consequences to himself.

While all of this is of course incredibly important, the most important thing to know about Darksword is that he loathes his name.  Despises it.  Addressing him by his first name is a surefire way to get injured, and all the dragons in the cave know this.  Unfortunately, nobody really knows how to address him because of this, and so he is often called 'hey, you!'.
