Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Eiginn remembers everything, she even recalls events from before she hatched. Her first memory is of feeling warm and safe, huddled snuggly within her egg. Her second memory is of sharp fangs penetrating the shell of her egg and a sickening feeling afterwards.  Her third memory is of heat, her eggshells cracking and exposing her to the world outside. Then all she remembers is lying on a cold stone floor. At this point the human Mirhana found her, a seemingly dead hatchling that smelled rotten. When she discovered it was not quite dead yet, she tried to nurture it back to health. Little did she know one cannot cure a Vampire.

Eiginn is mightily unpredictable. One moment she will bring home abandoned eggs, warming and nursing them. The next moment she will attempt to bite any egg she can lay her claws on. Sometimes she will stand still as a statue, a painful look in her face, as if her older peaceful self tries to break free from the Vampire blood now coursing through her veins.
