As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Luna Noctiluca translates as "Light that shines by night".

She is proud and opinionated, but also kind to her friends, and moralistic.

This beautiful drakess is, mainly because of her pride, somewhat elitist. What mate she finally settled on would, she long ago decided, have to either have a completely pure lineage or be caveborn. Non Desperare, the Night Glory drake, met both criteria. The fact that she loves him also is a bonus.

However, she wasn't this picky out of pride alone. She would hate to see her child killed, as those with an undesirable lineage sometimes are. It was, in fact, the death of their second egg which finally convinced her that her former mate, Quarec Carlyle, wasn't right for her. He has inbreeding in his lineage, and she concluded that this was why their egg had been killed.
