Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Herk Dragon is a bit of a deviant; he spends most of his time chasing after Dimar Dragon, his beloved mate. On the rare occasions that they're out of their secluded cave, Herk takes great delight in teasing Dimar and it has been seen on more than one occasion where Dimar has got angry with his playful nips and suggestive grins and rapidly wiped it off his face with a powerful and relentless thwack of her tail.

The cave became secluded after nearby dragons could no longer put up with the loud giggles of Herk's mate and Herk's manly, bawdy, and teasing roars.

Despite his lustful nature, Herk is much loved by the dragons around, (when he is pried from his mate's wings), since he is fun-loving and generally a great dragon to be around. He can take some teasing and tells great jokes.

He is dedicated to Dimar, and will not let his teasing spill to any other than his spouse.
