Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

For some strange reason Kanaye refuses to name this cheesie, calling him (for he insists he is male) only '3DOOM'. At first he thought this was his name but when Kanaye overheard another cheese dragon calling him '3DOOM' she whacked the dragon on the knee and said, "That isn't his name! He doesn't have one!" Kanaye must have her own reasons, he tells himself, but without a name he isn't quite sure who he is. Every day he makes up a list of names in his head. Every night he picks one before he falls asleep. And every morning he's forgotten which name he picked and has to start the list over again.
