Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Solaris Illia is a very proud and strong dragon. He considers it his duty to protect all of his fellow dragons when they need it and will never hesitate to come to their aid, especially when they're being harassed by Eclipse Illia. However, he seems to be rather weary of most humans and prefers to be in areas that humans do not normally venture to. Solaris had previously been under the impression that he was the last of his kind. However, with the addition of several new gold dragons to the cave, he realized that he had been wrong and has since dedicated what free time he had to looking for even more "shiny eggs" to bring back.
