Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hatched in the middle of a terrible storm that destroyed much of his camp, the young Sunset was named Storm. Everyone believed he would one day be leader of his clan, and his mother loved to boast over his beauty. But Storm was in a hurry to grow up and do all of the things his mother said he would do. He snuck out of camp one day to chase away a rogue that had been lurking on the edge of his clan's territory, but when he was crossing the river near the camp, he slipped on a rock and hit his jaw. His jaw healed, but it healed wrong, and twisted in a way that, according to his mother, marred his beautiful face. She pushed him away, even going as far as renaming him Crookedjaw. Hurt and betrayed, Crookedjaw fled his clan, and he has sworn he'll never return.
