Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyraven is the proud daughter of a long line of great dragons.  She inherited her mother's beauty and was lucky enough to be the first of her breed in her family.  She arrived to the caverns as a hatchling, unsure of herself being away from the family that had raised her.  The other dragons made her feel welcome, though, and she quickly adjusted to her new home.  She had trouble finding a mate at first, many of the single males in the clan were either intimidated by her beauty or afraid of her, seeing her color and birthdate as a bad omen.  She was fortunate to meet a dragon who appealed to her and was not intimidated by her in any way.  She is very happy with Lurage and was delighted to find a mate the same breed as her mother.
