Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The jokester of Crazy's clan, Tricksy is named for her many tricks on her clan mates. She often hides in the shadows just inside the cave mouth and sits extremely still. Whenever someone enters the cave without paying attention, she jumps out at them while roaring! When a dragon is still new to the clan, they often will run or fly away quickly from her. Eventually, though, all the dragons get used to this prank. <br/>The clan mother, Crazy, gets a kick out of Tricksy. As a dark green dragon, Crazy is always in her burrow. Thus, she encourages Tricksy to set traps of falling pebbles, covered holes, and various noisemakers for the other dragons to run into. Thus, the slightly ill-spirited streak of humor both Crazy and Tricksy possess are satisfied.
