Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zeze the Black can be called many things, but loyal isn't really one of them. She is seen with her offical mate Zezak as often as she is not, and she is often the talk of cave-gossip for having children with many of the cave's more dominant males.

Zeze however doesn't do this out of spite. She loves Zezak dearly, but sometimes she needs an escape. Sometimes she just needs someone to tell her that everything will be okay, and that has never been something that Zezak can do. His estranged experiments on her have left her both physically and mentally scarred, and this can sometimes be hard to bear. Whatever happens, though, she always comes back to him; something that stops him treading into true insanity.
