Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Dummies, who thinks of himself as male, is something of a cuffing know-it-all. When a new egg hatches and Dummies has deemed the hatchie worthy of his cuffing knowledge, the cheese will not let the poor hatchie be until it knows everything there is to know about cuffing. The hatchies, once he is done with them, will usually flee as far as they can from any "Cuffing" dragon, though a few of them do indeed embrace their schooling and go on "Cuffing Sprees" something Kanaye has little to no tolerance for, mostly due to the fact that she being the only human in the cave, the new Cuffing hatchies usually target her.

With some of the older Cuffing dragons, those Dummies did not "train", he constantly corrects their form, their posture, their tails, nitpicking everything from their smile (or lack of one) to how many people they have cuffed on any given week.
