Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bronze Enigma, many say, guards some mysterious hidden weyr, full of wonders beyond imagination.  Those who seek him out will find, it is said, that he is a wealth of arcane wisdom, possessing an answer for any problem.  None of this is true, of course.  Bronze Enigma is no wiser than most dragons, and the weyr he calls home is largely indistinguishable from the swamp it's a part of.  Being a truthful dragon, Bronze Enigma has done his best to correct the erroneous stories, but nobody believes him, choosing instead to think him merely modest, if not lying so that he can keep all the wonders to himself.
