White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As Somariel's first dragon, Snowflurri is the matriarch of the cave. She spends much of her time watching over the eggs and hatchlings in the cave, especially the ones that do not have parents in the cave. She is assisted in this care by Hennalya, who views Snowflurri as a mother despite their difference in size. Because caring for the eggs and hatchlings takes up so much of her time, Snowflurri was initially reluctant to accept any of her suitors in the cave. However, after Hennalya began to help with the care-taking duties, Snowflurri accepted Mayno as her mate when he promised to be responsible for protecting the eggs and hatchlings.
