Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Into the Dalek likes to cook one particular dish—souffles. Kit doesn't mind him cooking in her kitchen but she does wish that Into the Dalek wouldn't leave all the shells of the eggs lying around. She says it startles her into thinking she's accidentally wandered into the hatchery! Into the Dalek doesn't seem to mind the crunch of the shells underfoot and doesn't even complain when very few of his souffles turn out well, mainly due to an absence of milk.

Some day Into the Dalek would like to join the duotones in their cooking competition. He's sure he'll win with a very special souffle.
