Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As one of the few male dragons of the clan, he was in high demand among the ladies.  However, Zwolf Uhr approached him about becoming the mate of his daughter, Elf Uhr.  Honor is a strong force in his life so he agreed to the match.  Elf Uhr was not pleased and refused to see him.  When she leaves before the sun rises, he always watches her as far as he can.  Only when she is gone does he concentrate on guarding the rest of the clan.  Though she doesn't know it, he stays up every night until she returns to make sure she is safe.  He would follow her all day but he owes the clan and respects her wish to be alone.  One day, she caught him keeping watch for her and decided that this level of commitment should not be ignored.  The next morning, though, he awoke to find her gone.  He since learned that she had an egg but someone else now had it.  She visits him every night but he doesn't tell anyone.
