Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Stratoz rules the skies over his clan.  He soars high above (In ancient draconic, his name means 'high sky'), controlling the weather for his clan.  It is his job to make sure the winter dragons have cold weather, water dragons have wet weather, red dragons have warm weather, etc.  Even though he has a very important position in the clan hierarchy, Stratoz often resents only being allowed to conjure nice, peaceful, weather for the clan.  He loves going to Isciore's territory, because she is the only one who will let him make blizzards, hailstorms, or freezing rain.

     When his daughter, Toranin, began to lead a revolution against the mints, Stratoz leaped at the opportunity for revenge.  He actually has no problem with Nokiran or his descendants, but Stratoz absolutely loathes Valcigni.  He hopes that if the battle is won by the winged dragons, there will no longer be a need for nice weather, and Stratoz could conjure whatever disasters he wished!
