Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Weathermaster of the Durelen clan is not a dragon to be trifled with. Storm dragons are not known for being patient, and Sindar is a textbook example of his kind, capable of dispersing a flock of chattering youngsters with only a displeased look. However, his moody and unpredictable nature does not deter everyone. He and Laputa go a long way back as she has often sought his services in predicting weather patterns and wind currents- knowledge he was happy to share in return for a fine meal accompanied by a bit of flattery to stroke his ego. This was something Laputa was always willing to provide as she genuinely respects and admires the Gray's great mastery of his art. Old even by dragon standards, his wings have grown too weak for him to be able to do much more then glide, so he was forced to abandon his lair in the high cliffs and settle in a cozy cave near the ocean where he spends his days in quiet contemplation.
