It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vrennia is a gentle, kind-hearted dragon who is known as a sort of motherly figure in Centauri Caverns. None of her cavernmates have recalled ever seeing her become angry, even as a hatchling. She considers all the other dragons to be her friends and cannot stand to see them in pain or despair; because of this, she has devoted herself to helping them with their disputes and worries. She listens to them when they want to talk to someone, flies with them when they're lonely, never gossips, and greatly enjoys seeing them happy. She has also displayed great skill in medicinal areas, being an herbivore, and serves as a healer when other dragons get into brawls or defensive battles. In her spare time, she takes long leisure flights to take in the open air and the world around her; she has a deep love for nature and all things beautiful. She is a greatly appreciated member of the cave and a good friend to everyone.
