Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Gingar Goyle grew up, she realized that her kind needed to have a goal in life, something of worth to protect. In her indecision she turned to her mistress for something to do. The human girl, however, was so engrossed in her plans to get another abandoned egg, that she just absent-mindedly told her to watch the eggs and hatchlings. And so she did and still does.

At the beginning, Gingar took her assignment so seriously she didn't even get any sleep. A worried Magi dragon observed this and cast a spell on her. Thus, during the day, when the eggs and hatchlings are safely watched after by the other dragons in the cave, Gingar turns into a stone gargoyle, so she can get some sleep, her tail securely curled around the eggs' nest. When it's night and the other dragons go to sleep, Gingar awakens to life again and watches after her protegees and charges with great tenderness.
