Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Around Christmastime, Scarsmith goes on his annual slay ride. Various Christmas dragons come out to celebrate during these special days in the year's final month, and he does not want to miss an opportunity to find as many targets as possible. He rides an enchanted sled pulled by a team of magi, teleporting around the world where droves of those dragons have been seen. He silently swoops from the sky and methodically kills the most sluggish and careless ones, then moves the bodies to several underground storage areas in his northern home. There, in the cold, the carcasses are cut and cured. During a good season, Scarsmith can accrue enough meat to feed himself, his spouse, and the magi team until late summer. If he's feeling extra festive and nice, he hangs bells on the sled, which jingle merrily and warn of his arrival. Humans, if close enough, occasionally hear him mentally broadcasting snippets of a catchy song: "...what fun it is to ride and sing a slaying song tonight..."
