Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Asvaldr comes from the Norse word meaning "Divine Ruler". He is a great warrior dragon with a gentle soul and wise beyond his years. His courage and strength is unlike any dragon his keeper, King Valiant, has ever seen. He gets his power directly from the sun which actually enhances his over all abilities. The fire from the sun helps to energize and ignite his strength in a great burst of destruction. He was born of a great Winter dragon, Hemant, so he also has the ability to freeze the air. Having the heart of a lion in combat, he can also be as gentle as a lamb. When he was a hatchling, King Valiant mixed his blood with Asvaldr's food, which is how he shares some of the King's powers. He is an amazing force to be reckoned with and a fierce protector of the Gravensteen home and families—and one day his offspring will be highly coveted to those that would want such a rare and magnificent beast. King Valiant considers himself honored to call him his own.
