As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

"Color is the difference between dream and reality. You just have to figure out which is which." Raeyni's father would use his favorite saying when she lost hope.

Hues of only three colors--- green, red, and blue--- had always colored her life. The terms "purple" and "orange" were quite foreign, or they were until she found her father's journal. The book was old and faded, but inside was a drawing of a sunset, preserved and in full color, making the real sunset look fake in comparison.

It was the day her brother was arrested for stealing: a jeweled pendant of a strange color he'd given Raeyni. She journeyed to the king's palace to rescue him, but was caught. As she stood before the king, she saw it; his scepter was what was draining away the color, and there was a space at the top just big enough. That oddly colored pendant was the last key to breaking the spell. The color was freed, but Raeyni and her brother were forced to flee the king's wrath as he struggled to regain his power.
