Shadow Walkers are a strange breed that possess the ability to slip between the planes of reality, becoming immaterial. This allows them to hide in the shadows, either hunting from the concealment of near invisibility or evading enemies. Though they become corporeal to mate or to eat, they spend most of the rest of their lives walking in the shadows. Shadow Walkers are wary creatures, though on dark autumn evenings when the leaves fall to swirl in the chill, rain damp air, they may be seen drifting out from the shadows.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is filled with memories of days gone by, of sweet summer nights and bright spring days. He remembers the smell of chestnuts by an open fire when the snow blocked the door to a child's home. He sits quietly at the edge of everyone's vision until it is his turn to tell a tale.

He is the student of the Bard, Kalium, and although he is much quieter and reserved than she, his voice is mesmerizing. The few songs he does sing leave an ache in the hearts of humans and dragons alike. His words for the stories he tells are often burned into the souls of listeners, never to be forgotten.

It is uncertain if Evelyn has any friends at all or associates besides his mentor. A few nosy dragons bet he's secretly friends with the clan's bone sculptor, who, despite her habit of screaming and growling at other clan members, seems to not notice Evelyn at all, or tolerate his existence. This is most likely the reason he follows her everywhere, perhaps keeping her out of trouble.
