Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dimmer the Moonstone Dragon is (as her name suggests) a Moonstone Dragon. She is unique in the way that she can make her orb brighter or dimmer at will. She is protective of her hatchlings, but when she is in a sticky situation, she will use her power to make her orb become as bright as she can make it, and attack her opponent whilst they are blinded. Dimmer is a peaceful dragon, but will fight if she must to protect herself, her eggs, or her hatchlings. She mates with Glower the Sunstone Dragon, a remarkably good fighter of the Sunstone dragon species, who will protect Dimmer at all costs.
