Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Draco Sanguis Flame D'Hennegel.  Emphasis on the 'Flame,' he will say, after giving his full name to new acquaintances.  What that means is anyone's guess, but some of the other D'Hennegel dragons have a theory that they whisper among themselves and to BD71, when she attempts to get offspring from him.  Eggs from Flame and his long-suffering mate, Picchu, a magma, are rare, and magma offspring even more so.  This has led to the rumor that Flame is something of a diva extraordinaire, and might possibly not even be really interested in a female.  Of all the D'Hennegels of BD71's scroll, he can be considered the most pure, and he obviously knows and flaunts it on a regular basis, another log on the fuel of the fire of gossip and speculation...
