Coastal Waverunners spend most of their time skimming the waves along the coast, snatching up their prey from the shallow waters. They have developed markings along the leading edges of their body that help disguise them as breaking waves. When they are not hunting, they enjoy playing among sand-dunes and shallow tide-pools. These dragons live in small but noisy rookeries. Some stories say Waverunners can fly for days on end without landing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

KODAK Memento has a photographic memory. Unfortunately, she has next to no non-photographic memory. She tries to get by in normal society as a fisherdragon, and though she remembers everyone's faces she doesn't recall if they were friend or foe, so she is rather nervous—though after having seen Aeneatikoi's 'Memories' she has begun a private attempt at copying it—though hers is pictorial. She keeps it safely tucked away in the weyr she shares with Gatekeeper Oluluh. She doesn't remember that he talks of keeping a non-existent 'gate', but can remember seeing his good deeds.

While some dragons are respectful of KODAK's disability, and a few unobservant ones are unaware of it, there are those that seek to take advantage of her (usually to 'purchase' fish from her without having paid). Some suspect this is how the narcissistic lazy-bum Gerandal keeps himself fed, but KODAK has expressed that she has a quite negative mental image associated with his face, shedding doubt on this theory.
