Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Deep in the undisturbed caverns of the earth, hundreds of these beautiful dragons dwell amidst towering crystals, their existence hidden for millennia from humankind. But with the recent intrusion of the land-dwellers into their world, some geodes have wandered away... and some have fallen in.

A small hatchling was found abandoned near one of the tunnels to the surface, a hatchling with exceptionally beautiful wings. The other dragons raised her as their own, but still there were... differences. The way she always longingly stared at the ceilings of those vast caves, feebly beat her wings as if she wanted to fly. This led to all sorts of rumors about her, and the one that most believe is that she was born from a star. For stars are made of stone, too, and even if they can only fall, they know love for the sky.
